Well, I ended up sleeping in the TV room next to a space heater in our last camper park. I didn't want to take a chance that I would have to get my feet amputated. We got up early, cooked some eggs and toast and hit the road to Mt. Cook, the highest peak in NZ. The mountains and glaciers are amazing. We did a 3ish hour walk out to Hooker Valley to see a glacial lake, had some peanut butter and honey sandwiches, and then went out to Tasman Valley to see some more glaciers and such.
We then made our way out to the east coast and found Oamaru, a cute little town on the coast. We found a fabulous camper park with a super clean bathroom and free showers as well as an excellent kitchen. We also found the warehouse and scored a space heater and a sleeping bag. (The van is lovely tonight!) We do still need to get a proper RV power cord but the guy here was nice enough to loan us one for now.
Evan cooked an amazing dinner of pasta, butter, peas and corn (I washed the dishes) and then we drank a bottle of wine and played Gin (we're tied for now btw). Tomorrow we're off to Dunedin to party like college kids!
